OVER THE LAST 9 MONTHS I HAVE BEEN BUSY AT WORK AS A WORKING MEMBER OF TWO CLSG WORK GROUPS ON THE COPYRIGHT HUB
on two core groups
1: Images and Metadata : Code of Practice http://www.clsg.info/Images_and_Metadata.html
Following a public consultation on the draft Code of Practice on Creating and Retaining Metadata in Images, the workstream has published the final Code of Practice. The Code of Practice retains the broad principles outlined in the draft, thereby leaving scope for companies to develop their own plans for how these principles could be implemented. ‘How to’ guides and example implementation plans will be developed and made available.
and 2 : The Data Building Blocks Committee http://www.clsg.info/Data_Building_Blocks.html
In particular our time on the first group < Code of Practice for Images > has created a really excellent code of practice and I am delighted that one of my fellow group members has now been appointed as the new CEO
